1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small files or pieces of information stored on or accessed from a user's device when visiting a website. They may operate essential functions, maintain secure sessions, remember choices, measure performance or enable third-party functionality.

Session & Persistent Cookies

Session cookies are deleted when the browser session ends. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until removed.

First-Party & Third-Party Cookies

First-party cookies are set by Nexera Food Trade or its website infrastructure. Third-party cookies are set by another integrated service.

Local storage, session storage, pixels and other device-access technologies may be subject to comparable privacy and consent requirements.

Strictly Necessary / Functional

These technologies provide functionality explicitly requested by the user or operate essential website and portal functions, including secure sessions, authentication, security and consent-choice storage. Under applicable Dutch cookie rules, prior consent may not be required where access is strictly necessary. Any related personal-data processing has a separate GDPR legal basis described in the Privacy Policy.

Limited Analytics

Nexera Food Trade does not currently activate an analytics cookie or analytics tracking library in this application. Any future analytics implementation will be assessed by configuration and privacy impact before activation.

Preferences

Optional preference storage may remember interface choices. Consent depends on whether the specific storage is necessary to provide a function requested by the user.

Tracking / Marketing

Nexera Food Trade currently uses no advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or marketing-profile cookies in this application. Any future tracking technology requiring consent will remain off until an active, informed choice is made.

Authenticated administrative tools may also retain user-created mail drafts locally until sent, removed or browser storage is cleared. These records support work in progress and may contain business correspondence.

Your Choice

4. Cookie Consent

Where consent is required, Nexera requests it before activating the relevant optional technology. Optional categories are not pre-selected. Scrolling, inactivity and continued browsing are not treated as consent.

Rejecting optional technologies does not block normal website access. No analytics or marketing technology is currently activated by either choice.

Persistent Control

5. Withdrawing or Changing Consent

You can review or change your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the global footer. Withdrawal is as accessible as the original choice and prevents future activation of declined optional technologies.

Evidence

6. Consent Records

The consent record stored on the user's device contains the decision time, accepted categories and applicable policy version. A later change replaces the previous device record. Nexera does not add unnecessary personal data solely to prove this choice.

External Technologies

7. Third-Party Services

No third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking script is currently loaded by this application. Google Analytics, _ga and _gid are not used.

The application uses European-hosted backend infrastructure for authentication and core data services. A WhatsApp contact control is an ordinary outbound link; WhatsApp is not embedded and receives a request only after the visitor chooses to open that link.

There is no verified EEA-external transfer caused by an active browser analytics or tracking technology in the audited application. Transfers arising from a user's deliberate visit to an external service are governed by that service.

Embedded Content

8. Embedded Content

The public Nexera pages currently contain no embedded YouTube player, map, social-media plugin, third-party chat widget or external booking tool. If such functionality is introduced, it will be reviewed and, where required, blocked until consent or implemented as click-to-activate content.

Secure Access

9. Portal and Authentication Technologies

The shared trade portal uses local browser storage to maintain authenticated sessions. The Trade Desk can issue a short-lived, secure first-party cookie for one anonymous conversation. These technologies are separate from optional analytics.

Blocking strictly necessary authentication or session technologies may prevent login, secure portal continuity or the requested Trade Desk conversation. Rejecting analytics or marketing technologies does not prevent RFQ submission.

Browser Controls

10. Browser Settings

Browsers can inspect or delete stored cookies, block specific or third-party cookies, and restrict website storage. Blocking necessary technologies may affect website or portal functions. Browser controls do not replace Nexera's consent interface where consent is legally required.

Personal Data

11. Personal Data and Cookies

Where cookies or similar technologies process personal data, the Privacy Policy explains the controller, GDPR legal bases, recipients, international transfers, retention and data-subject rights.

Changes

12. Updates to This Cookie Policy

This policy may change when technologies, providers, analytics configuration, website functionality or applicable requirements change. A materially different purpose requiring consent will not rely automatically on consent previously given for another purpose.
